Anita J. Brearton is a Managing Director and the Boston Forum Leader of Golden Seeds, an angel investment group that provides early stage and growth capital to women led businesses across all industry sectors.  Passionate about supporting women led enterprises, Anita is the founder of the Women’s Entrepreneurial Council in Boston, an Entrepreneur in Residence at Simmons College and an investor in FashionPlaytes, Carnegie Speech, SweetRiot Chocolate, Gracious Eloise and Crimson Hexagon. In addition to her work supporting female entrepreneurs, Anita serves on the board of the Angel Capital Association, The Sunflower Initiative and the advisory boards of Altruik, Inc. and Connect2 Communications. 

Recently, Ms. Brearton has joined the Board of MTDC, the Massachusetts Technology Development Corporation, a leading edge venture capital firm that addresses the "capital gap" for start-up and expansion of early-stage technology companies operating in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.


Glenn Champagne

Glenn Glenn is an active angel investor and serves on the board of directors of Launchpad Venture Group. Over the last 8 years Launchpad has made 30 investments, investing nearly $9M in companies that in turn, have gone on to raise nearly $150MM.

Glenn brings more than 20 years of experience in the software industry focusing in sales and consulting at the likes of then pre-IPO companies Oracle and Business Objects. He was also Director of Technical Services for Eprise Corporation, and a Principle with IBM/Tivoli. Glenn was vice president of sales at Inboxer, which was acquired by SafeCore in May 2009. In 2010 Glenn was a 2nd round judge at the MassChallenge.

Launchpad Venture Group focuses exclusively on companies based in the Boston area.  Launchpad is focused on investments in the technology and life-science spaces and select opportunities in the green space. Launchpad will consider opportunities from other areas if group members have expertise and the opportunity is deemed to have the potential to generate superior returns. Primary sector focuses are software / IT, web and e-commerce, media and social media, mobile and wireless, medical devices, diagnostics, healthcare IT, networking and telecom, clean-tech, renewable energy and green-tech.

Brendan DiPiazza joined Boston Millennia Partners in September of 2009. He is responsible for a variety of portfolio company analytics. He also participates in the evaluation of prospective portfolio companies in the Healthcare and Business Services sectors.

Frank Silva specializes in the healthcare and business services sectors. Frank’s primary responsibility is to work with the partners providing analytical support on existing and potential portfolio companies. In addition, he is responsible for identifying and evaluating prospective investment opportunities by proactively soliciting deal flow from entrepreneurial venues. Frank is a graduate of Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT.


Norman Meisner

Norman Meisner has worked for nine startups as VP of sales or VP of business development yielding five acquisitions and one IPO. His expertise is in the areas of enterprise software, security and data communications. Most recently, he served as the VP of business development at Authentica, acquired by EMC in early 2006. He has been a private angel investor since 1998 and he led the angel round at Lumigent Technologies, where he served on the Board for 5 years. He works with his investments to help develop sales and partnering strategies.

Beacon Angels is a Boston-based angel group that makes investments in the $100,000 to $300,000 range in small fast-growing companies.


David Miller

David S. Miller, Ph.D. is a founder and Executive Managing Director of CEVG. An engineer by training, he brings 18 years of technology startup management experience and 10 years of seed stage investing experience. He is on the board of directors or advisory board of several clean energy companies, including Azima DLI, Next Step Living, and IntAct Labs and has been a volunteer mentor to several others. He is also a research affiliate at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

David is a New England Chapter Director of Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2), a national community of business leaders who advocate for good environmental policy while building economic prosperity (www.e2.org) and actively develops relationships with state and federal policy makers to support the growth of the clean energy industry. He is a founding member of the MIT Enterprise Forum’s Energy Special Interest Group where he has chaired the mentor program for the IGNITE Clean Energy Business Plan Competition for the last three years. David also co-founded EPrime, which is a forum for clean energy entrepreneurs to network and support each other’s enterprises, was a board member of New England Energy and Environmental Funders, which educated investors interested in energy and environmental companies, and was an advisory board member of the New England Clean Energy Council.
